Chappie dog food is one of those iconic dog food brands that everybody has heard of. It seems to have been around forever. In reality, it’s over 60 years old so the chances are anybody who’s had a dog in the past 40 or 50 years will have heard of, fed or encountered Chappie dog food at some point.
But who makes Chappie?
Chappie dog food is actually manufactured by Mars, who are the brand-owner of many other pet food brands including Pedigree and Pal.

I have a chocolate minature poodle, and having tried him on various dried and wet food, one of which gave him terrible constipation, I decided to try Chappie. HALLEJUHIA what a difference, in just a few hours his bowels were back to normal.
I would recommend this food to anyone. He cant wait to have his next meal!
Thank you Chappie I have got a healthy, active dog back.
Will recommend it to my friends.
Thanks again

Our elderly Akita, now almost 12, has been on Chappie for the past couple of years and has been a much happier and healthier dog. Normally,I find it really difficult prising the stuff out of the tin, but a recent purchase of the usual large tins has proved quite different. The food seems far more moist and easy to manage, but the downside is that the resultant dog faeces are, to put it mildly, mush!
Is anyone else experiencing this?
I have a shar pei who is 11 months old, He suddenly had an allergic reaction to what we do not know. I was recommended Chappie by my Auntie. I weaned him onto it and within 4 days he was so much happier, his fur was soft and fluffy again. I would recommend it to anyone to try it out 🙂
Back in 1966 I was the owner of a German Shepherd puppy who was diagnosed with rickets and the Vet recommended Chappie. Since that date I have had 2 further German shepherds, a Red Setter and now have 2 shih Tzu all have been fed on Chappie with no problems
